Hi, I’m Danny Pardo from the Actors Reporter.  Welcome to Ferrari AFTRApodcast.  Today we wanted to share with you the Joint Statement from many unions, including American Federation of Musicians, AFTRA, the Directors Guild of America, and SAG to try to STOP Online Piracy

The joint statement said that the Unions and Guilds represent more than 400,000 craftspeople, actors, technicians, directors, musicians, recording artists and others whose creativity is at the heart of the American entertainment industry, A Bill has been introduced in Congress, HR 3261, the STOP Online Piracy Act.

This legislation would provide U.S. law enforcement agencies with the tools to protect American intellectual property, including the films, television shows and sound recordings created by Union members, from foreign rogue websites that knowingly and deliberately engage in the illegal distribution of our content for profit.
